Wow what an amazing experience! I still can't believe that I got to drive this vehicle before it hit the market. I am a Nissan enthusiast but don't think for a second that this kept me from looking for faults.
Somehow Nissan completely redid this car inside and out top to bottom but still kept it recognizable as a Z. I was happily surprised upon entry into this latest Z car. The car is race ready in many respects with many innovative features.
To begin with the seats are supportive when the car is being tossed about on the track but comfortable enough to sleep in on long road trips (trust me I already tested this). Plenty of power on tap from the 3.7 liter 6 cylinder and the transmission does rev matching which eliminates the need for heel toe shifting on the track so for beginners your can concentrate on keeping the perfect line (this feature can be turned off for purist by pressing a button). Also the brakes stop on a dime and give you change.
The list of goodies goes on and on but to prevent myself from rambling I will simply say test drive this car you will absolutely be surprised. The car will be priced from just below 30 to start and I would easily give more. You definitely get more than what you pay for with this car. That being said the Senior VP of Sales and Marketing at Nissan USA said that this tour was an effort for Nissan to get back to its grassroots and give back to enthusiasts and I am so glad they did this.
The weather was bad in Tennessee when we were there and yet people still showed up to see these awesome cars. I would like to thank everyone involved in this special event and be the first to say I hope Nissan continues to stick to this grassroots method in the future.
